This 1999 Bugatti EB110 Supersport by Dauer (39024). Originally built on Aerospatiale chassis No. 121, the car was ordered new in Grigio Scuro with a Nero Inchios interior, bearing the Supersport identity of chassis number 39024. Before it could be delivered, the car was returned to Bugatti’s Campogalliano factory in Italy due to being damaged. Plans were made to rebuild it in yellow, but Bugatti Automobili declared bankruptcy in 1995, leaving 39024 unfinished on the factory floor. In 1997, Jochen Dauer, founder of Dauer Sportwagen GmbH, purchased several unfinished Bugatti projects, including the remains of this car. He acquired the damaged chassis and the homologation paperwork for 39024 and instead used a separate spare EB110 chassis to complete the car shown here. This effectively split chassis number 39024 into two cars becoming a “Split Car”. One car was completed by Dauer in Nero Metallizzato with a Champagne interior, now registered as chassis 7298. The car shown here retained the original papers but was built on a new chassis and finished in 1999 in Giallo Bugatti with a Nero Inchios interior. It received German TÜV certification on August 27, 1999. Dauer made specific modifications, including Poltrona Frau bucket seats, GT-style power window door panels, and a unique rear panel with a central brake light in the fixed rear wing. In January 2000, the car was photographed in Paris alongside the blue Supersport 029. It appeared at the Monaco Grand Prix in May 2000 under German plates (N-EB-775). In 2001, it was shipped to the U.S., spotted at the JW Marriott in Las Vegas. In 2005, it appeared at Italian Car Fest in Texas. In 2015, it returned to Europe, serviced by B-Engineering in Italy, and was offered for sale in the UK. In 2019, the car’s plaque was updated for its new owner, @lamborghiniks. In 2025, it was proudly displayed at @millermotorcars.
