2011 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L'Or Blanc

2011 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L'Or Blanc

This unique automobile shown here is the result of the Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. collaborating with the The Royal Porcelain Factory of Berlin, initially founded by King Frederick II of Prussia in the year 1763. This is the one-of-a-kind, 2011 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L'Or Blanc (795035), one of the most impressive collaborations in the world of Bugatti. The Grand Sport L'Or Blanc is a completely bespoke automobile, and it’s also the first time ever that a car’s bodyshell and interior have both been fitted with high-quality porcelain elements. Founder of the Bugatti company, Ettore Bugatti, loved to experiment with never before used and unprecedented materials when constructing his vehicles, and this unique one-off collaboration is a brilliant way to honor that particular trait of his. The main idea behind the project initially was to honor one of Rembrandt Bugatti’s finest works, the famous Dancing Elephant. At first, the Porcelain factory planned to produce just a small figure of the Bugatti elephant, but clearly the two companies went above and beyond with an even larger scale idea. Visually, the L’Or Blanc is a work of art. When you consider the level of craftsmanship that went into making this car look the way it does, it’s easy to consider it as a masterpiece. L’Or Blanc, or ‘white gold’ in French is based on the Grand Sport Veyron, which is also special in it’s own way. This limited model serves as the targa top version of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, and was first ever shown to the public in 2008 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The Grand Sport was limited to just 150 units for the entire world, however, the L’Or Blanc is a true one-off project. What do you think of this Supercar dressed in the some of the world’s finest of Porcelain?
