This magnificent car shown here at the 2023 @nyautoshow is a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible 3LT Z51 70th Anniversary Special Edition (XP5500598). The year 2023 marked the 70th anniversary of the Corvette models initial debut in 1953, and as a celebration of the longest running nameplate of any car on the road today, Chevrolet introduced the special 70th Anniversary Edition package shown here. Two color options are available with this package, either White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat (shown here) or Carbon Flash Metallic, with optional striping available as well. Each 70th anniversary edition car is equipped with special wheels that feature commemorative wheel center caps, and the interior can be had with either two-tone Ceramic leather GT2 or Competition Sport seats. Some other unique options for this special model include 70th Anniversary Edition exterior badging, ‘Edge Red’ brake calipers, the 70th Anniversary Edition logo on seats, as well as a custom luggage set. The 70th anniversary edition package is available on 2023 Corvette Stingray 3LT and Z06 3LZ coupe and convertible models. The eight-generation of the Chevrolet Corvette (C8) made it’s official public debut on July 18th, 2019, in Tustin, California, and was followed up shortly after by a convertible variation in October of that year. This was also in addition to the racing variation, known as the Corvette C8.R. The C8 model’s styling is credited to the C8 Corvette design director, Tom Peters, and it’s officially the GM's first production rear mid-engine sports car since the discontinuation of the Pontiac Fiero in 1988.
