2006 Ferrari FXX EVO

2006 Ferrari FXX EVO

This is the 2006 Ferrari FXX EVO (chassis 880), a groundbreaking machine that marked the beginning of Ferrari’s prestigious XX Programme in December of 2005. More than just a high-performance track car, the FXX was the catalyst for an exclusive initiative that granted Ferrari’s most esteemed clients access to specialized, track-only versions of the brand’s most elite models. However, ownership of an XX car was never as simple as placing an order, as these machines were only offered through an exclusive invitation process, with Ferrari itself selecting a select group of individuals deemed worthy of joining this highly specialized program. Since its inception, the XX Programme has introduced the following models: the FXX (and FXX EVO), the 599XX (and 599XX EVO), and the FXX-K (and FXX-K EVO), the Ferrari SF90 XX, and the Ferrari 499P Modificata, each representing the pinnacle of Ferrari’s relentless pursuit of performance and innovation. At the heart of the XX Programme lies a unique concept, which is offering clients an ultra-focused, track-optimized version of a Ferrari road car while providing an unparalleled ownership experience. Those fortunate enough to be part of the program gain access to private, Ferrari-organized track events, complete with their very own dedicated pit crew and a full team of factory technicians on hand to fine-tune every aspect of the car’s performance whenever it is unleashed on the circuit. This level of support ensures that each XX car operates at the peak of its capabilities, delivering an unrivaled driving experience. The FXX itself is derived from the legendary Ferrari Enzo, a road-going hypercar that served as the brand’s flagship model. While it shares certain mechanical components with its street-legal counterpart, the FXX underwent extensive modifications, transforming it into an uncompromising track weapon. Every element of the car was re-engineered for extreme performance, from aerodynamics to power delivery, pushing the boundaries of what a Ferrari could achieve on the racetrack. This particular example is equipped with the sought-after ‘Evoluzione’ package, introduced in 2007 as a comprehensive upgrade that further refined both the car’s mechanical systems and aerodynamic efficiency. These advancements took the FXX’s already formidable capabilities to even greater heights, ensuring that it remained at the cutting edge of Ferrari’s continuous evolution in high-performance engineering. This example was originally finished in Rosso, and has the assembly number 61417. Previously, this example has worn number 7, and has since had its number changed to 90.
