1995 Garage Suzuki (Honda) Special S800 Coupe by Boomerang

1995 Garage Suzuki (Honda) Special S800 Coupe by Boomerang

Okay, it’s time for something super unique. This car shown here is not one that you may have ever heard of before, but that’s okay, because today we’re going to tell you all there is to know. This is the 1995 Garage Suzuki (Honda) Special S800 Coupe by Boomerang (also known as the BRG 303). If you’ve never heard of Boomerang, the company was founded many years ago by Junichi Ando, and focused mainly on the production of low-cost prototypes, electroplating, and other various automotive modifications and customization services. Not much is documented about Boomerang, or the work they had completed a number of years ago in Gotemba, Japan, however, this car shown here is part of their unique history. In order to construct this unique creation, Boomerang teamed up with another company by the name of Garage Suzuki (ガレージスズキ), which was actually a Honda workshop. The goal behind the S800 project was to create a lightweight aerodynamic sports car, and the intial plans included the intentions to actually mass-produce this vehicle. The car itself is based on a 1967 Honda S800, and of course includes a number of slightly more modern elements and brand new body styling. The car was designed by Boomerangs founder, Junichi Ando, and features a smooth, stylish body design built using lightweight fiberglass. Tragically, Garage Suzuki’s president, Nobuyuki Suzuki, had passed away during the process of developing this promising car, which ultimately lead to the cancellation of the project entirely, leaving just one singular completed prototype built. The design of this special car incorporated inspiration from many classic racing cars, and had quite a solid future ahead of it after impressing the team at Honda. The current whereabouts of this vehicle (to my knowledge) are entirely unknown.
