2004 Acura NSX-T

2004 Acura NSX-T

Shown here is an absolutely beautiful 2004 Acura NSX-T boasting a lovely ‘Imola Orange Pearl’ exterior over an unbelievable orange leather interior. This is an extremely original example, featuring only one major modification, a Comptech Sport exhaust system. The history of the NSX model all starts in 1984 when Honda produced a prototype known as the HP-X. With help from the famous Italian design studio, Pininfarina, this prototype would later evolve into a sports car project known as the NS-X. The design team was lead by Honda Chief Designer, Masahito Nakano, and executive chief engineer, Shigeru Uehara, and the car made it’s first ever official appearance as the Honda NSX at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show. In November of 1990, Honda sold and marketed the NSX under Honda’s luxury car brand, Acura, which is an example of what we have shown here. As for this particular example however, this is an NSX-T, which first became available for the first-generation NSX in 1995. This model offers a removable targa top, and largely replaced the standard coupe version in North America. In December of 2001, the NSX model received a modernized facelift, swapping the pop-up headlights for fixed xenon HID headlamps, wider rear tires, new gauges, a new shift knob, and a revised rear spoiler amongst many other updates and enhancements. This beautiful machine is powered by a 3,179cc Honda C32B V6 engine that produces just about 290hp from the factory. Production of the first-gen NSX ended in 2005, only to be brought back to life in 2016 with an all-new second generation designed by lead designer, Michelle Christensen.

How many made? Approximately 198 cars produced for 2004. 1 of approximately 49 total examples produced in Imola Orange from 2002-2005 for the US market & 1 of around 41 total in Imola Orange over an Orange interior. Of those 41 total cars, it’s reported that just 9 of them were built in this specification for the 2004 model year.
