This car shown here was just one of many unique and interesting automobiles and concept cars that was shown this year at the 2022 @nyautoshow, and it’s known as the 2023 Kia EV9 Concept! This unique concept car aims to reimagine what an electric automobile can be capable of, and the car is set for a release date some time in 2023. The EV9 was first revealed during the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, and serves as the next addition to Kia’s plan to have at least 11 new electric vehicles for sale by 2026. During the @nyautoshow this year, South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer, Kia Corporation, announced that the EV9 should be set to hit US markets as soon as the second half of 2023. The EV9 Concept will be constructed upon the GMP electric car platform, which is utilized on the smaller EV6 model, and Hyundai Ioniq 5. This means the EV9 will likely be able to support 350-kW DC fast charging, and Kia claims a range somewhere around 300 miles. The EV9 is an exciting 3-row battery powered electric SUV that will be something interesting to keep an eye on moving forward as the model prepares to enter production. Steve Center, who serves as COO and executive vice president-of Kia America, mentioned many great things regarding the EV9 during the @nyautoshow, one of them being the fact that the car is reportedly going to be capable of charging battery levels from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes. The world is certainly moving forward with electric vehicles, and it’s exciting to see that there will be many new innovations moving forward from every company!
How many made? This is the first and only show car built and the car that was first ever displayed at the 2021 LA Auto Show. There appears to be a number of prototypes in development, and Kia has announced that we should see a EV9 SUV production car by 2023 in Europe!
