1996 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster

1996 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster

This is a fantastic 1996 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster s/n 12427 and it’s one of less than 500 total examples believed to have been produced for the entire world, with only around an estimated 200 or so of those examples said to be left to be surviving to this day. This particular example is finished in a gorgeous shade of red, and is equipped with a unique wing as shown here in these photos captured by @myoldcarpics. The Diablo VT model was first introduced as a coupe at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show, and was followed by a roadster variant (shown here) in 1995 shown at the Bologna Motor Show. At the time, the VT model served as Lamborghini’s purest V12 model and offered a number of significant enhancements that notably improved both driver and passenger comfort, while still maintaining visceral performance. The Diablo VT Roadster came with many new innovative features such as the removable hard-top roof, an all-new hydraulic lifting system, and many other unprecedented additions. The VT Roadster differentiates itself from the VT coupe by the way of a redesigned front bumper, modified engine cover, redesigned exhaust, redesigned rear bumper, and of course the specially included Diablo Roadster badging. The Diablo VT Roadster is powered by a 5.7-liter, 48-valve, 492-horsepower, V12 engine, and can achieve a 0-60mph time of just about 4.0 seconds flat with a top speed of around 201mph.
