2004 Lamborghini Gallardo

2004 Lamborghini Gallardo

From 2003 to 2005, MTV aired “Viva La Bam”, a chaotic reality show starring former pro skateboarder and stunt performer @bam__margera, known for outrageous pranks and stunts with his friends and family. During the show, viewers got used to seeing Bam’s ‘Viola Ophelia’ 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo (LA01759), which of course saw many adventures throughout its lifetime. In a memorable episode from the show’s fifth season, which aired in 2005, Margera, with the assistance of musician @billyidol, modified the Gallardo by cutting a sunroof into its roof using a reciprocating saw outside of the Borgata Casino. Later, a professionally executed sunroof was installed, only to have all of the car’s glass destroyed after stunt performer and actor @johnnyknoxville inflated a raft inside of the car. During the 2008 Gumball 3000 “Around the World in 8 Days” rally, the car started in Philadelphia and was shipped by boat to London. From there, it was driven through Brussels, Paris, Vienna, Budapest, and into Serbia, eventually reaching Biograd. The car was then flown to Thailand and driven to Bangkok, with a pit stop in Japan. From there, it made its way into Pyongyang, North Korea. The journey continued with a fuel stop in Anchorage, Alaska, then on to Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, where the car broke down before finally reaching California. It was later shipped to Detroit and eventually returned to Pennsylvania where it started. In the year 2011, a friend mistakenly and famously filled the car with diesel fuel, resulting in approximately $45,000 in repair costs. Later on in it’s timeline in the year 2021, the car was acquired by @roseluxmotors thanks to @aprilmargera, @realphilmargera, and of course @bam__margera with @eldestructo13 and @thomaswaltemyer making the connection. Its current owner has spent the past years undertaking an extensive restoration of the car while preserving distinctive features.
