1999 Pagani Zonda ‘La Nonna’

1999 Pagani Zonda ‘La Nonna’

This is definitely one of the most special cars ever to be shared to @rarecarsonly, this car shown here is the one-of-a-kind 1999 Pagani Zonda ‘La Nonna’, ZA9C820C10SF76002, believed to be the oldest Pagani Zonda in existence, and one that comes with some amazing history. The story of the Zonda model begins in the mid to late 1990s, with the first appearance of a Zonda taking place during the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. The Zonda was originally set to be named the ‘Fangio F1’ after Formula One champion Juan Manuel Fangio, but it was later decided the car would be named Zonda after the hot air current above Argentina, where founded of Pagani, Horacio Pagani was born. Every Pagani is unique, but this example finished is certainly a jaw-dropping rendition. Chassis 76002 was originally finished in ‘Grigio Montecarlo’ with an interior consisting of grey Alcantara and red leather, and was specifically used as the prototype vehicle for the Zonda C12, S, S 7.3, F, Cinque, and 760 models. Due to it’s extensive testing, this Zonda is believed to have clocked in over 1,000,000 kilometers on the odometer, and is quite a well-known Zonda, having been previously featured in a promotional video for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit in 2010. The ‘La Nonna’ was completely restored in 2015 as a surprise for Horacio Pagani’s 60th birthday, and is now shown in this beautiful specification with ‘Blu Francia’ accents, tricolore striping, Zonda Cinque air intakes, a Zonda Cinque exhaust system, and a lovely roof scoop. The cockpit of this car is extremely futuristic & concept-car like for it’s age, featuring beautiful leather upholstery, plus aluminum and carbon fiber seemingly everywhere you look.
