This is the 2023 Pagani Huayra R, 1 of just 30 examples of it’s kind to ever be built for the world, with this example being finished in a color called ‘Grigio Silver Puro’ over a black cloth interior. Since the Pagani Huayra’s release, the platform has since been updated and enhanced through several through variants that include the the Huayra (100), the Huayra Roadster (100), the Huayra BC (20), the BC Roadster (40), the Imola (5), the Imola Roadster (8), the Huayra R (30), the Huayra Tricolore (3), the Roadster HP (2), the Huayra Codalunga (5), the Huayra R Evo Roadster (TBA) and the Huayra Codalunga Speedster (10). None of the unit numbers shown include prototypes, only production examples. As for this special car shown here, the Huayra R is not a version of something else. It is its own machine, designed from a blank sheet to live happily only at speed. Announced in March 2021 and limited to 30 units, this is not a rework of the roadgoing Huayra, but a standalone development with no concessions for public use. The chassis is built from Pagani’s advanced Carbo-Titanium and Carbo-Triax structure, pushing dry weight down to 2,314.85 lbs. Every aerodynamic element is fixed and deliberate including the front splitter, vertical fin, rear wing, and floor, which combined deliver over 2,204.62 lbs of downforce at 198.84 mph. The cabin is sparse, not minimalistic, with carbon seats, six-point harnesses, a central display, and nothing that does not serve the drive. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 built from scratch with HWA, unrelated to AMG units, producing 838hp horsepower and revving freely to 9000 rpm. A non-synchro six-speed sequential transmission with a motorsport clutch sits behind it, sending power through a mechanical limited-slip differential. Suspension is double wishbone with pushrod activation and four-way adjustable dampers.
