Not something you see everyday. This is the 2002 Panoz Esperante GT finished in ‘Metallic Blue’ over a ‘Parchment’ leather interior (chassis 1P9PB48382B213063). If you follow our other page (@am_media_ny) you can find an additional post there of this car as well as some videos and photos taken by myself. Panoz was founded in 1989 by Daniel ‘Dan’ Panoz originally as ‘Panoz Auto Development’. Dan’s father, Don, played a big role in helping promote his sons company by taking Panoz to the racetrack in 1997 to further expand the brand. Don was also the owned of a pharmaceutical company called ‘Elan Pharmaceuticals’ which is where most of the funding and money for the company derived from. Today, Panoz is much more heavily focused on racing rather than road-car production, however, this car is an example of one of the road cars the did produce. The Esperante GT was produced from 2001 until 2013 and this specific car was first delivered in 2002 to ‘Trans-Atlantic Motors Inc.’ in Stamford, Connecticut. Other variants of the Esperante include the GTS, GTLM & more however the base model shown here, known as the GT, still had an original MSRP of $90,000. Production still continues today for the Esperante but in an updated second generation with the Esperante Spyder & Spyder GT, which are not necessarily too similar to the first-generation Esperante GT shown here. While Panoz may not have a major street-car brand recognition, they do have extensive racing history with multiple international podiums & victories under their belt. This car is for sale!
