1995 Porsche 911 Carrera

1995 Porsche 911 Carrera

This incredible machine shown here is a 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera (993) RWD 6-Speed Coupe (WP0AA2998SS320446), finished in ‘Amaranth Violet’ over a ‘Space Grey’ leather interior, and said to be 1 of just approximately 3,540 United States market Carrera C2 examples built under the 1995 model year designation. Before we discuss the type-993 Carrera it’s important to note that the 911 model traces it’s roots all the way back to 1959, when a sketch was drawn by the grandson of Austrian-born automotive engineer and founder of the Porsche AG, Ferdinand Porsche, and son of Austrian-German technical automobile designer, Ferry Porsche, Ferdinand "Butzi" Porsche. The 911 model was designed and thought out to be a new and improved successor variant to the company’s first production automobile, the 356. The 911 eventually made it’s first ever public debut at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show, and the rest is history. From there, we’ve now how countless variations of the Porsche 911 model, some rare, some not so rare, unique colors, options, and the list goes on. This 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera is internally designated a 993 model by Porsche which indicates that the car was produced from 1994-1998. The 993 had many different variants, which all varied in equipment, body styling, engines, and more, however, the Carrera always holds a soft spot in most enthusiasts hearts. The 993-generation Carrera model is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6L M64 engine, which is a further development of the 964-generation, as well as a dual-flow exhaust system. The model was available in either rear or all-wheel drive, and simply put, any true Porsche aficionado can appreciate this incredible example!
