1998 Porsche 911 Turbo S

1998 Porsche 911 Turbo S

This very well may be the most unique Porsche ever showcased on @rarecarsonly, a wonderful 1998 Porsche 911 Turbo S, 1 of approximately 345 total 993 Turbo S examples that were produced, and certainly the only one to wear this wild specification. Notably, the 993 Turbo was the final generation of the air-cooled 911 turbo, and this example shown here was commissioned by His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, the 6th Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait. After having purchased this already rare machine back in the late 1990’s, this one-of-a-kind Porsche underwent a complete restoration by Porsche Classic in Germany between 2010 and 2014 where it was outfitted with an endless amount of Porsche exclusive options, an eye-catching ‘Vanilla Yellow’ with ‘Mint Green’ sparkle paint finish, and a two-tone Porsche Orange and Yellow interior that can be seen from miles away. Of the 345 approximate total of 911 Turbo S examples ever produced, only around 182 of those cars were ever imported into the United States. The 993 911 Turbo was already a fantastic automobile, however, for the Turbo S, Porsche added larger turbochargers, integrated rear fender scoops, newly added exterior aerodynamics, a quad-outlet exhaust, and much more. The 993 Porsche was designed by British automobile designer, Tony Hatter, and was quite an improvement over the predecessor Porsche 964 model, with only around 20% of parts being carried over from the previous generation. This car was previously being sold at a list price of $888,888 by @pfaffreserve and is now in the hands of @silverarrowcars. This 1 of 1 911 Turbo S left the factory as a black on black example, and after all of the upgrades and custom touches from Porsche Exclusive, the total restoration cost is said to be in the ballpark of €434,000.
