2011 Porsche 911 Speedster

2011 Porsche 911 Speedster

This absolutely brilliant 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster is 1 of just 356 total built for the entire world, and a machine that we are very grateful to have photographed during our trip to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the recent @rmsothebys auction as media! This example, which is finished in a color known as ‘Pure Blue’ over a dealer-specified “checkered-flag delete” black leather interior. During the time of this sale (March 2022), this 911 Speedster showed under 2,500 miles on the odometer, since being delivered to Porsche Fremont in Fremont, California in June of 2011. The 911 Speedster model in parity SLR is special to me because it’s probably the most rare, and collectible car we’ve ever driven for our “Drive & Review” series on our YouTube channel. You can find that full video on YouTube.com/ammediany! Being just 1 of just 356 in the world, and 1 of just 100 for the US, driving the 2011 911 Speedster was exceptionally rare experience, and an opportunity I will never forget! This very special Porsche is powered by a 3.8L flat-six engine that produces just around 408 horsepower. The Speedster is capable of a 0-60mph time of just about 4.2 seconds. The 911 Speedster pays tribute to the first ever Porsche to wear the Speedster badge, the 1954 Porsche 356 Speedster. The numerology behind the 356 unit production run is an homage to the 54’ 356 Speedster, giving this car even more historical value. The Speedster comes equipped from the factory with virtually every option already included such as the Sport Chrono Package, carbon-ceramic breaks, and much more. This car, which is number 221 of 356, is truly one of the rarest Porsches out there today. Notably, ‘Pure Blue’, is 1 of just 2 colors available for the 2011 Speedster, with the only other I option being ‘Carrera White’.
