2008 Rolls Royce Phantom Pearl Edition

2008 Rolls Royce Phantom Pearl Edition

This very special one-off 2008 Rolls Royce Phantom Pearl Edition (X01181) is part of the seventh of the Rolls Royce Phantom (VII 2003-2017), which was designed by Serbian automobile-designer, Marek Djordjevic, while the interior was handled by Charles Coldham. The Phantom model of this generation was the first Rolls Royce model developed after BMW purchased the rights to the Rolls Royce name and logo in 1998. This example is finished in a one-of-a-kind specification of cream/pale yellow and dark yellow, although it is believed to have originally been painted with black exterior paint when new. The interior is a combination of ‘Arctic White’ natural grain leather upholstery with ‘Piano Black’ veneers on the dashboard and door cappings. The ‘Phantom’ name has been in use by Rolls Royce since 1925, starting with the Rolls-Royce Phantom I of 1925–1931 and followed by the Rolls-Royce Phantom II of 1929–1935, the Rolls-Royce Phantom III of 1936–1939, the Rolls-Royce Phantom IV of 1950–1956, the Rolls-Royce Phantom V of 1959–1968, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VI of 1968–1990, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VII of 2003–2017, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé of 2007–2017, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé of 2008–2017, and finally the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII which arrived in 2017 and is still in production to this day. In specific, the Rolls Royce Phantom VII was developed across two series with the first being 2003-2012, and the second being 2012-2017. Each example was completed to specific customer specifications at the Rolls-Royce plant in Goodwood, West Sussex, and buyers had the ability to select from over 44,000 different paint colors when building their dream Rolls Royce Phantom.

How many made? Total production for the Phantom VII, extended wheelbase (EWB), Coupe, and Drophead Coupe between 2003 and 2017 was 10,327 units. This car is a one-off specification.
