This is the fascinating 2016 Sbarro Ginevra, an interesting styling exersize that used a Ferrari 550 Maranello as a base, and was executed by a team of designers from the design studio of Sbarro, a Swiss low volume, high-performance, replica and sports car manufacturer which was founded by Franco Sbarro in the year 1971. This 1 of 1 creation was first ever displayed on the second press day of the 86th Geneva International Motor Show on March 2nd, 2016 in Geneva, Switzerland. The team at Sbarro built this mystical automobile at the request of a client with a Ferrari 550 Maranello that wanted to develop it into an unprecedented machine. The result was an incredible Sbarro-designed vehicle that now was equipped with a low Plexiglass windscreen that now requires both the driver and passenger to wear helmets which can be found situated in a holder between the headrests. Unlike probably any other car out there, as one would expect from Sbarro, the trunk/luggage area opens up similarly to a shelf rather than a conventional automobile, sliding outwards to reveal a small area that can be used to store any extra items. Other unique changes and additions, aside from an entirely newly styled body include 6 unique inlets behind the front wheel on either side, new 5-spoke wheels, a slightly revamped interior finished in black, and of course the brilliant red paint work. Whether it’s the helmets which are integrated into the bodywork, or one of the many other peculiar elements seen on this car, it’s safe to say there’s nothing else quite like it out there!
