This is the very rare, and wild looking 2019 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake (believed to be chassis 54533), finished in ‘Frosted Glass Blue’ over an ivory leather interior. In 2017, English manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers, Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC developed a car in collaboration with independent coachbuilding company, Zagato, known as the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato. This model is based of course on the same 580hp 5.9L AM29 V12 engine from the Vanquish S, and was developed in four different body styles including 99 coupés, 99 convertibles, 28 speedsters, and 99 shooting brakes like the car shown here, making this model 1 of just 99 total for the world (or 1 of 100 if you include the prototype). The first ever iteration of the Vanquish Zagato was shown for the very first time at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este at Lake Como, Italy in May of 2016. The Shooting Brake was the final installment of a four-part collaboration between Aston Martin and Italian coachwork company Zagato on the Vanquish model, and it’s truthfully quite an elegant reinterpretation of the Vanquish model as a whole. The sweeping lines of the body panels were made using carbon fiber materials, and evident is the Zagato-signature ‘double bubble’ tapering carbon roof, as well as a number of other Zagato design cues and touches. The interior of the Shooting Brake is covered with leather on almost every surface, with ‘Z’ detailing stitched into the car’s seats, a carbon fiber luggage compartment, and a massive glass roof panel that stretches all the way from the driver to the rear of the car.
How many made? 100 total including 1 prototype.
