2020 Aston Martin DBS GT

2020 Aston Martin DBS GT

This incredibly rare car shown here is a 2020 Aston Martin DBS GT by independent coachbuilding company Zagato, 1 of just 19 examples built for the world, and the only one to be painted in this color, which is known as ‘Caribbean Pearl Blue’. Zagato, which began coachbuilding in the year 1919, worked together with Aston Martin as they have done on a wide variety of projects in order to create this extremely limited model here known as the DBS GT Zagato. This unique Zagato project began in the year 2019 as was handled mostly by the heritage division of Aston Martin known as Aston Martin Works, who built the 19 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato Continuation vehicles that come with the additional 19 DBS GT cars that can only exclusively be purchased as a a pair through the ‘DBZ Centenary Collection’ program. The cost for both together is approximately $7.4 million dollars, and this particular example is equipped with a gorgeous looking ‘Dark Knight’ leather interior with ‘Dark Knight’ stitching. Based on the underpinnings of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, the DBS GT Zagato first ever appeared in October of 2019 during the Audrain’s Newport Concours show. This special model features the same 5.2 L Aston Martin AM31 twin-turbocharged V12 engine that is seen in the DBS Superleggera, however, instead of the standard 715hp, the engineers worked to allow this model to deliver approximately 760hp. Aston Martin’s bespoke Q division allowed customers the utmost of customization capabilities within the 19 ‘DBZ Centenary Collection’ packs, allowing for the likely hood of parking next to an identical, or even similar example almost impossible. Unlike the standard DBS Superleggera, the DBS GT Zagato features the Italian coach building company’s iconic ‘double bubble’ roof, as well as a comprehensive redesign that includes a new front and rear, as well as a new external air channel which has been incorporated into the doors.
