2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie

This is the fantastically rare 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie (chassis 70070), finished in a dazzling shade of yellow with red accents, the pinnacle of a track-oriented road car that pushes almost all performance boundaries. This is the latest piece of technological excellence from English manufacturer, Aston Martin and Formula One racing team, Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies (currently competing as Oracle Red Bull Racing). The idea for the Valkyrie model was conceived by British Formlua One engineer and Red Bull Racing's Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey, English automotive executive and engineer, Andy Palmer, British former racing driver and current Team Principal of the Red Bull Formula One team, Christian Horner, and Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Aston Martin Lagonda, Simon Spoule. The design work for this radical machine was handled by renowned designer, Miles Nurnberger and Adrian Newey. The Valkyrie looks like nothing else on the road, with a comprehensively open underfloor and multiple dramatic design elements such a large front splitter, lightweight wheels designed for maximizing air flow. The cockpit, which is reminiscent to perhaps a fighter jet, or maybe a factitious alien spaceship, features no traditional gauge cluster, and instead, offers an abundance of screens which act as a gauge cluster, and provide the driver with vital vehicle information and vehicle controls. A wide variety of companies beyond Aston Martin and Red Bull were involved with the development of this car, which include Alcon, Rimac Automobili, Cosworth, Ricardo, Michelin, and many others.

 

How many made? 150 road cars 85 roadsters 25 track-only Valkyrie AMR Pros (plus prototypes).

 

Engine: 6.5 litre Aston Martin-Cosworth RA naturally-aspirated V12 (the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine ever to be fitted to a production road car) combined with an Integral Powertrain Ltd. permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, and a 1.3 kWh Rimac KERS hybrid battery system to make for a total of 1,160hp at 10,500rpm
