This is the 2001 Dauer Bugatti EB110 Super Sport Light Weight Chassis 7598. Finished in clear-lacquered and unpainted carbon fiber, over a beige leather interior. The story of this car traces back to 1997 when a public auction was organized by Bugatti at the Campogalliano factory in order to disperse all of the remaining EB110 models, parts, machine tools, and anything else left over since the company had recently declared for bankruptcy in February of 1996. Over the course of three total days, various outside companies were invited to check out some of the product available for auction, and one of those companies just so happens to be a German sports car company known as Dauer Racing GmbH. The company, who’s best known for the construction of the road-legal Porsche 962, at the time was headed by a man named Jochen Dauer, and from the auction they purchased various original parts, semi finished cars left on production lines, a handful of prototypes and both the "EB110" name and logo as well. One of the cars they were able to reconstruct and redevelop is this car shown here, chassis 7598, the only fully exposed carbon-bodied EB110 in the entire world! There were 139 total made between 1991 & 1995. Dauer went on to reconstruct 6 newer, better, and faster Dauer EB110 Super Sport Light Weight cars. Each car was made entirely out of carbon fiber, however, only one was left in bare carbon, the one pictured above. Making this car a 1 of 1 of 6 in the world.
How many made? 139 produced, with this being the only exposed carbon-bodied EB110 in the world! Dauer modified 6 total chassis of the EB110.
