This is one of the rarest and most unknown Ferraris of all time. The 1990 Ferrari 348 TB Elaborazione by Zagato (chassis number ZFFKA35B000084810). Despite seeming perfect for eachother, Milanese carrozzeria Zagato & Ferrari only came together on a handful of projects, with none of them ever being completed in an official capacity. One rare exception came along in when Zagato offered to create a re-design of the Pininfarina designed Ferrari 348 TB. At the time, regulations for emissions and crash tests were becoming increasingly more challenging and therefore that left Zagato only able to perform cosmetic modifications only. These changes included a revised front bumper, a unique triple rear light configuration and perhaps the most noticeable being revised lower roofline featuring the traditional Zagato “double bubble” styling. This specific Ferrari 348 TB Elaborazione is one of just 10 total 348 TBs outfitted by Zagato between 1990-1992 & it was also happens to be the last car converted of the 10. The finishing touch to Zagato’s elegant design are the custom OZ Racing alloy wheels and external Zagato branded fuel filler caps. The sides of the car feature extra-enlarged air ducts for enhanced cooling and make for an overall smoother and more aerodynamic design all around. Underneath the hood, the mechanics of the car went completely untouched by Zagato and maintains it’s factory original power and performance. With only 10 of these cars existing in the world, it’s hard to say where this car lands in terms of the being the rarest Ferrari of all time, but that’s for you guys to decide in the comments below! Notably, this example is believed to be the only silver car of the 10 total created.
