2003 Ferrari Enzo

2003 Ferrari Enzo

This is the absolutely incredible 2003 Ferrari Enzo (133118), 1 of 399 (true production 500+ cars) production cars, plus 1 additional car, which was gifted to His Holiness Pope John Paul II by Ferrari. This example is special for a myriad of reasons, but the beginning of it’s history takes place when it was purchased new by developer and casino mogul, Steve Wynn, and was delivered on August 8th, 2003. Subsequently, the car was set on display at the Penske Wynn Ferrari dealership after the opening of the Wynn Las Vegas resort in 2005. Following Wynn’s ownership, the car was also in the hands of Steve Klimek, located in Nevada for a short period of time. Chassis 133118 was sold to Ferrari of Orange County, California (today known as Ferrari of Newport Beach), where it disappeared for a while until around 2007, where it was discovered to be in Colorado, owned by The Fox Collection. During the 2022 @rmsothebys Monterey, California auction, this car was sold to it’s new owner, who is on Instagram as @caretakerscollection. This is the 61st Enzo ever constructed for the US market, and it was built in May of 2003. This car is said to be 1 of just 9 total US-spec Enzos painted black from the factory, and 1 of just 2 of those examples to be upholstered with Cuoio leather. Of those 2 examples, this is the ONLY US-spec Black Enzo with Cuoio leather. Around 29 or 30 examples of the Enzo are said to have been painted black total for the entire world market. The Enzo, which is of course named after the companies founder, Enzo Ferrari, was developed in 2002 using formula 1 technology. From 2002-2004 only around 400 Ferrari Enzos are said to have been produced. The Ferrari Enzo (Type F140) was designed by Japanese industrial designer, Ken Okuyama, for Italian car design firm and coachbuilder, Pininfarina.
