2011 Ferrari 599 SA Aperta

2011 Ferrari 599 SA Aperta

Shown here is a car that is simply breathtaking to behold in person, the 2011 Ferrari 599 SA Aperta, finished in a stunning shade of ‘Rosso Dino’ over a two-tone Iroko leather, that features Testa Di Moro carpets, and carbon fiber trim almost everywhere you look. For the entire world, only 80 examples were built of this specific model, making it a true piece of both Ferrari and automotive history in general. The Rosso Dino over Iroko leather combination is matched with a ‘Marrone Scuro’ soft top roof, carrying on Ferrari’s tradition of producing limited-edition convertible V12 powered grand tourers. The name of the car itself commemorates the iconic design house known as Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary, and the ‘SA’ nomenclature is a great homage to Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina, who are responsible for the creation of so many unique and interesting Ferrari’s over the years. The SA Aperta is built based upon the 599 GTB, Ferrari platform, however, features a slightly reengineered chassis setup in order to maintain a certain level of stiffness desired by the engineers behind the project. There are a number of other obvious cosmetic features that were included on this model, such as larger intakes, Subtly redesigned front and rear bumpers, unique 20-inch wheels, and countless other design elements and ideas that go on to make this car truly special compared to just about anything else. The car is powered by the same 661 horsepower 6.0L V12 engine found in the 599 GTO, which is paired with a F1-Superfast six-speed automated manual transmission. This highly capable machine also features an exhaust system that is in fact a de-tuned version of the setup used in the track-focused 599XX model, making for some seriously impressive noises and excitement.
