Only two exist on Earth, and this is one of them. This 2014 Ferrari F12 TRS (special project number 28), chassis number ZFF74UHB000200840, is a one-of-two open-top masterpiece hand-built by Ferrari’s Special Projects division and cloaked in a rare Extracampionario custom color, ‘Rosso TRS’. Beneath the sculpted bodywork, which was inspired by the 1957 250 Testa Rossa, lies the formidable F140 FC V12 engine, backed by assembly 118146 and originally warrantied from June 9, 2014. The interior is finished in Nero 8500 with matching Nero 152 carpets, giving the cockpit a dramatic, purposeful feel befitting such a unique icon. The F12 TRS retained the overall proportions and shape of the original headlights but featured a unique design with custom embossing, integrated air intakes, and a distinctively contoured trunk lid positioned behind the open roof section. A notable design detail was the tinted glass panel that visually linked the side windows to the windshield, creating a seamless, flowing look. Inside, the cockpit is a study in minimalist design, stripped of all non-essentials to highlight raw performance, with black matte carbon fiber, Nero leather, and Alcantara throughout, accented by the multi-layer red paint. After delivery, the owner commissioned Carrozzeria Zanasi to carry out several visual modifications to the F12 TRS. These included new headlights, redesigned side mirrors, an updated front canard, a modified front splitter, and a custom rear bumper. The original engine glass cover was removed for a cleaner rear deck design. In 2020, Carrozzeria Zanasi also created a one-off panoramic glass targa roof for the car. Additionally, a Novitec exhaust system was installed. Alongside this red example, another example exists. The second TRS originally started out it’s life in black as originally seen in 2014 at the Circuito Monteblanco in Spain, however, today, the car is finished in liquid silver.
