2015 Ferrari LaFerrari

2015 Ferrari LaFerrari

This car shown here is a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari finished in a beautiful shade of ‘Nero DS’ with a silver colored roof over a Nero/Rosso leather interior with Rosso stitching. The LaFerrari (F150) was designed at Ferrari Centro Stile under the careful supervision of Senior Vice President of Design at Ferrari, Flavio Manzoni, and is considered to be the first ever full hybrid vehicle produced by the Italian automotive company. Notably, at the time of it’s arrival at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, the LaFerrari provided the highest power output of any other Ferrari road car in existence, while simultaneously managing to decrease the fuel consumption by up to 40 percent. The car is powered by a longitudinally rear mid-mounted 6.3L Ferrari F140 direct fuel injected V12 engine combined with a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) that makes for a total power output of just about 950hp. That equipment helped allow this attention-grabbing hypercar to lap the 1.8 mile Fiorano Test Circuit, which is a private race track owned by Ferrari for development and testing purposes, in just 1:19.70. Only around 500 total units of the LaFerrari are said to have been produced by Ferrari from June 2013 until January 2016. The coupe variant was followed by an even more limited (210 units) open-top Aperta variant, which comes equipped with a removable carbon fiber hardtop and canvas soft top roof. This later variant was shown at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Out of all the hypercars that exist today, many believe the LaFerrari will slowly over time become one of the most iconic cars ever built. This speciation in specific is truly a unique one, and is definitely mesmerizing to see in person. Be sure to check out @greenwichconcours for more exciting and unique cars!
