1996 JUN-Modified EK4 chassis Honda Civic Hatchback g-Force T/A solo car

1996 JUN-Modified EK4 chassis Honda Civic Hatchback g-Force T/A solo car

This car shown here on display at the 2023 @nyautoshow is an extremely rare, lone-surviving 5-speed 1996 JUN-Modified EK4 chassis Honda Civic Hatchback g-Force T/A solo car (2HGEJ6346TH107625). In the mid to late 1990s, an import automotive publication known as Super Street worked together with American tire manufacturer, BFGoodrich and Japanese tuning shop, Jun Auto in order to develop two highly customized EK4 chassis Honda Civics which would then be distributed in a magazine giveaway. One car was built to conquer the drag strip, the g-Force T/A drag car, and another car was created to dominate the auto cross, which is the g-Force T/A solo car shown here. With the drag-spec car having been reportedly stolen and stripped down in the year 2008, this car shown here is known considered to be the only Jun-built USDM Civic in the entire world. The car is shown as close to as it was when it was first developed, wearing it’s original bright yellow and green ‘Super Lemon’ Jun livery. The car was in fact given away to a subscriber of the magazine in the year 2001, and has since traded hands only a few times since then. Some desirable and fully original options and features packed into this build include a 259hp JUN-modified 1.8-liter B18C crate engine which revs to 10,000rpms, a 5-speed manual Integra Type R transmission with custom gearing, 17” Volk TE37 wheels, Sparco fixed-back bucket seats, a Civic Type-R front spoiler and grille, Tanabe adjustable coil overs, and much more than would make any car enthusiast absolutely thrilled. The car remains almost entirely the same as it was when it was first modified by Jun in 1999. Other easily enjoyable touches include but are not limited to a Jun Auto vented hood, headlight covers, and Integra GSR-sourced disc brakes with Brembo cross-drilled and slotted rotors. This car was auctioned off on @bringatrailer in 2021 with bidding going up to $26,000 and failing to meet the reserve.
