2016 Jaguar F-Type Project 7

2016 Jaguar F-Type Project 7

This car shown here is an ultra-rare 2016 Jaguar F-Type Project 7 (27979) finished in a stunning shade of ‘British Racing Green’ over a ‘Jet Black’ leather interior with ‘Cirrus’ stitching. The Jaguar F-Type (X152) has been in production by Jaguar Cars since 2013, and has been produced over a series of numerous different variants, all featuring numerous unique features and design elements. British car designer, Ian Callum, is responsible for the F-Type’s styling, however, this particular F-Type shown here is far from the average. The Project 7 was instead designed by Italian-Brazilian designer, César Pieri, and is an extremely rare limited-production variant of the F-type that was only produced in 250 units worldwide. The Project 7 is also marketed as Jaguar’s ‘most powerful production car ever’, and boasts a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that generates just about 575hp and allows for a top speed of about 186mph while taking around 3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0-60mph. The name itself derives from the seven times Jaguar has won the famous Le Mans 24-hour race. The Project 7 shares similar design qualities with the 1950’s Jaguar D-Type, notably, the ‘Aero Haunch’ located behind the driver. Out of those 250 total units produced, only a total of 50 examples made it into the United States, making this car an extremely rare find overall. Originally created as a concept, and the car was first ever shown to public on July 6th, 2014, at the Le Mans Classic race meeting. The debut of the car was also made to honor the Jaguar D-type’s 60th anniversary, where the limited production Project 7 was displayed alongside the first D-type ever built. What do you think of this super rare Jag?
