2015 Koenigsegg Agera RS ‘Naraya’

2015 Koenigsegg Agera RS ‘Naraya’

This is the one-of-a-kind 2015 Koenigsegg Agera RS ‘Naraya’, YT9ML2A21FA007127, the very first Koenigsegg to be given a tinted carbon fiber monocoque. This Agera RS example is 1 of just 27 examples believed to have been created for the entire world, with each being completely unique to the customers specific specifications. The ‘Naraya’ is finished in blue exposed carbon fiber with 24k gold leaf accents and is equipped with a blue Alcantara interior with gold stitching. The design for the standard Agera model, and all of it’s variants, is credited to the founder and CEO of Koenigsegg Automotive, Christian Von Koenigsegg. The name, ‘Agera’ derived from the Swedish verb 'agera' which means ‘to act’ or in imperative form ‘(You) act!’. Since the model’s introduction, a myriad of different variants based upon the Agera’s platform have been created, consisting of the standard Agera, the Agera R (2011-2014), the Agera S (2013–2014), the One:1 (2014–2015), the Agera RS shown here (2015–2018), the Agera Final Edition (2016–2018), as well as a number of special editions and one-offs. As for the Agera RS model in specific, this variation serves as a more advanced platform in comparison to the Agera R, and is packed with a wide variety of performance oriented design characteristics and technology resulting in Koenigsegg giving the Agera RS the nickname of ‘the ultimate track tool’. Notably, on October 1st of 2017, the Agera RS model set the 0–400–0 km/h (0–249–0 mph) record in 36.44 seconds, 5.56 seconds where the car was driven by race driver and factory test driver at Koenigsegg Automotive AB, Niklas Lilja. Another record was set by the RS in November of 2017, the production car speed record with an average speed of 447 km/h (278 mph). Certainly a fascinating car both in terms of design and performance!
