This is the 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 (YT9LK2A39EA007110), also known as the the world’s first ‘Megacar’. We’ve heard of hypercars & supercars of course, but what can possibly make a car ‘Mega’? Well simply put, the Koenigsegg One:1 earns it’s title by being the first fully road legal and usable car to achieve a 1:1 power to weight ratio, previously thought to be impossible by many within the automotive industry. The One:1 has a power to weight ratio of 1,341 horsepower to 1,341kg (2,956lbs), giving the car 1 PS per 1 KG mass. The 1,341 PS power output is equivalent to one megawatt, which koenigsegg officially claims makes the One:1 the first ever ‘Megacar’. This specific One:1 is even a bit more special than the other 5 that exist. Out of the 6 total cars built, this is the only One:1 configured with right-hand drive (RHD). This specific One:1 also set a record for fastest production car at VMAX UK with a top speed of 245.6mph. The car itself is finished with blue tinted and clear coat visible exposed carbon fiber with white details over a black hide interior with blue alcantara and contrast stitching. The One:1 uses a modified version of the 5.0L V8 used in the other Agera variants. In order to achieve this unprecedented performance, koenigsegg had to sacrifice a few amenities and features such as the ability to store the removable roof in the boot, which other Agera models are able to do. This car was previously listed for sale in the past on Jamesedition.com for $7,200,000.
How many made? This car is essentially a 1 of 1 of 6. 6 cars were built but this is the only right-hand drive example.
Engine: The engine used to propel this ridiculously fast machine is a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 1,341hp with a 1:1 power to weight ratio weighing 1,341kg. By comparison, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has 1,183hp and weighs over 4,000lbs.
Debut: The One:1 was first shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March.
