2005 Leblanc Mirabeau

2005 Leblanc Mirabeau

This is the 2005 Leblanc Mirabeau (20001), a one-of-a-kind 812 kg/1790 lbs Koenigsegg-powered race car that was purpose built and prepped to FIA/Le Mans standards. Swiss manufacturer, Wysstec GmbH constructed this one-off machine out of carbon fiber, kevlar and assorted unobtanium materials for Zürich-based manufacturer Leblanc. The name ‘Mirabeau’ was given to the car from a corner on the famous Circuit de Monaco called Mirabeau, which was eponymously named after Le Mirabeau, a high-rise building in Monaco that was formerly a luxury hotel. During the time of the development of the Mirabeau, Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg supplied Leblanc/Wysstec with a factory 4.7 L Koenigsegg supercharged V8 engine from their first ever street car, the CC8S which develops approximately 700 horsepower, 45 horsepower more than the CC8S thanks to an open exhaust system. The Mirabeau pays tribute to Koenigsegg’s street cars in many ways such as having triple headlights backed with carbon fiber, triple taillights, the side scoop design, and the double humps, all of which are design characteristics seen on many other Koenigsegg models. The car recently was revived during the 2024 Fuori Concorso (@fuoriconcorso) by @esser_automotive as a way to celebrate their 15th anniversary as a company, as well as the 30th anniversary of Koenigsegg’s foundation by Christian Von Koenigsegg in 1994. Esser Automotive, who is responsible for sourcing the Mirabeau for @ccol10, was founded in 2009 as Premium Automotive Concept Esser by Markus Esser, and since 2013, the company has been the official dealer for Koenigsegg in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Mirabeau joins @ccol10’s collection that includes some of Koenigsegg’s greatest models ever produced such as 1 CCX Edition, 1 CCX, the CCGT, and two further cars on order.
