This is the 2010 Lexus LFA P014 Prototype, finished in ‘Pearl Yellow’ over a full black leather interior. This LFA is the same car that was seen driven by English broadcaster, journalist, farmer, game show host and writer, Jeremy Clarkson on British motoring magazine and factual television programme, Top Gear, where he raced to the border of Mexico against English television presenter and journalist, James May, and English journalist, television presenter, mechanic, and writer, Richard Hammond. The P014 Prototype was also driven by TV Host and professional drift champion, Tanner Foust, as well as also being driven by @shmee150. Considered to be one of the higher mileage LFA examples that exist, this LFA was specially ordered by Lexus USA, and features Black Brembo calipers and 20″ forged BBS wheels in dark liquid graphite. The Lexus LFA was first introduced as a coupe-only model in January of 2005 (prototypes began development in 2003) at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan as a design study with no real plans for production. Two years later in 2007, Lexus revealed another slightly re-worked LFA Concept, & test mules were beginning to be spotted testing at the Nürburgring. The production variant of the Lexus LFA was finally announced and unveiled as a coupe-only model in October of 2009 on the first press day of the 41st biennial Tokyo Motor Show. The LFA was designed by chief stylist, Kengo Matsumoto, and production lasted from December 2010 until December 2012. Japanese business executive and the current president of Toyota Motor Corporation, Akio Toyoda, saw the LFA was a way to create a global icon for the Lexus brand.
