2015 McLaren 650s Le Mans Edition

2015 McLaren 650s Le Mans Edition

Here’s a car you definitely don’t come across all that often. This is the 2015 McLaren 650s Le Mans Edition, finished in Tarocco Orange over a Carbon Black and Orange interior, and it’s one of only 50 examples produced for the entire world, of which only 8 of those examples were built for the US market. The standard McLaren 650S was shown for the first time ever during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and was designed by Moroccan-born American automobile designer, Frank Stephenson. The 650s Le Mans Edition is a special, limited-production variant of the 650S Model which was built by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their victory during the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Le Mans Edition of the 650s is powered by a 3.8L M838T twin turbo V8 engine which produces around 641HP. All around this car you’ll find options that are exclusive to the Le Mans edition of the 650s only such as the MSO snorkel, the lightweight forged wheels finished in silver and printed with ‘Le Mans’ lettering, MSO leather and alcantara seats, MSO side skirts with ‘McLaren Orange’ Le Mans lettering, and a wide variety of other MSO options that make this car truly special. Also included on this example is the optional sports exhaust system, giving this car the sound to match it’s impressive performance, which includes a top speed of around 207 mph and a 0-60mph time of around 2.9 seconds. Inside the cabin you’ll find a badge which states ‘McLaren 24 Heures Du Mans Winners 1995’, which is an homage to the McLaren F1 GTR that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race that year.
