Easily one of the most highly-customized examples that was constructed by the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England, UK. This is the 2019 McLaren Senna XP ‘El Triunfo Absoluto’, a tribute to Brazilian racing driver, Ayrton Senna’s win at the 1989 Formula One Mexican Grand Prix. While the McLaren Senna was already a considerably special machine, one particular dealer, McLaren of Beverly Hills, commissioned four special edition McLaren Senna examples through McLaren Special Operations (MSO) that celebrate Senna’s legendary racing career. This example, which is the fourth of four total XP Senna examples that were commissioned through the dealer, started it’s life as the McLaren Senna press car, before it was sent back to the factory in 2021 for a complete overhaul. The car was refinished in ‘Graphite Grey’ with ‘Accent Red’ and ‘Mexico Green’ touches added in order to pay tribute to Senna’s win during the 1989 Formula One Mexican Grand Prix. The name El Triunfo Absoluto’ in English translates to ‘The Absolute Triumph’, and a myriad of unique one-off details were added to this car in order to maximize the individuality of this particular build. Some of these elements include, but are not limited to MSO bespoke gloss visual carbon fiber, Ayrton Senna’s signature, a hand-painted Mexican flag on the rear wing, El Triunfo Absoluto badging, and much, much more. On the interior of this Senna, the customization only becomes more enhanced, with MSO Bespoke Jet Black leather upholstery with embroidered red-and-white stitched seat-pad outers, airbrushed depictions of Ayrton Senna on the podium in 1989, and a wild amount of green-colored carbon fiber. The Senna is named in honor of Brazilian Formula One race driver, Ayrton Senna, to celebrate his success in racing.
