2020 McLaren Senna GTR

2020 McLaren Senna GTR

This is as track-focused as track-focused gets. This is the 2020 McLaren Senna GTR, chassis 9 of just 75 total built (MC11), finished in ‘Amethyst Black’ with orange accents. As you may or may not know, the Senna GTR is the track-only variant of the already track-focused McLaren Senna. The Senna GTR is improved with more power, less weight, extra downforce and a completely upgraded chassis in order to ensure for added performance and reliability on the track. This track-only counterpart to the standard Senna features no airbags, no infotainment system, and it also comes standard with only one seat, for the driver. Nonetheless, as raw as the senna GTR is, it still at the very least does come with air conditioning and a full list of different driver aids as well. One of the biggest differences in on-track performance between the Senna GTR and the standard Senna are actually the tires, which are now gumball Pirellis mounted on ultralight 19-inch forged alloy wheels, allowing for extreme track precision and better handling. The standard Senna is already faster than anything anyone could ever need on a public road, with a 4.0L M840TR twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 789hp, you would never assume the Senna would ever need any more power. However, power does increase for the Senna GTR now making 814hp from the same motor, losing the secondary catalyst system, allowing for the Senna GTR to weigh a total of just 2619lbs. The Senna GTR was at one point the fastest non-Formula-one track-only McLaren ever created. With a larger front splitter, new wheels, a larger rear diffuser, and widened front and rear fenders, the Senna GTR is on a whole new level! Although the Senna GTR is not road-legal as standard, British motorsport and engineering firm, @lanzante, has now begun to convert these visceral machines to street-legal road cars.
