2022 Mclaren Elva

2022 Mclaren Elva

This absolutely incredible car shown here is a 2022 Mclaren Elva (SBM26ACA6MW815122), finished in a eye-catching paint color known as ‘MSO multichromatic Pacific Color Stream’ over a black interior with carbon fiber seats. The Elva is truly a special machine, serving as a brand new addition to the ‘McLaren Ultimate Series’, which is the absolute top-tier lineup of low-production, high-performance hypercars from McLaren Automotive. The open-top design of the McLaren Elva is inspired by the racing cars built by New Zealand racing car designer, driver, engineer, and inventor, Bruce McLaren during the 1960’s. Production of the Elva was originally planned to be around 399 units, however just 149 total examples wound up making it out of the factory. The Elva model was designed by English car designer, and current Design Director at McLaren Automotive, Robert Melville, and is constructed based upon a MonoCage III carbon fibre monocoque platform. The name Elva itself is derived from ‘elle va’, which means "she goes" in French. This example shown here, which was captured by @daniel.hatchett for @mecum_auctions, is chassis number 122 of just 149 examples produced for the world, and features a number of distinct features that were created specifically for this car, such as the purple piping along the black seats, and gorgeous looking purple break calipers. The Elva is truly an impressive automobile, boasting electro-hydraulic steering, an auto drag reduction system, quad exhaust tips, and more. Other unique touches are the carbon fiber dihedral doors, the Active Air Management System (AAMS), an active rear wing, and much more. This example of the Elva comes packed with a leather duffel bag, two Bell racing helmets, luxury sunglasses, and a myriad of other McLaren exclusive add-ons and goodies to help add to the overall uniqueness of the model.
