2004 Pagani Zonda Oliver Evolution

2004 Pagani Zonda Oliver Evolution

This is the 2004 Pagani Zonda Oliver Evolution (ZA9C820C10SF76046), a one-off Zonda variant that has lived a long, and very interesting life over the years. This very special car shown here started its life in 2004 where it was originally constructed as a ‘Grigio Montecarlo’ Zonda C12 S 7.3. Sometime around 2009 or 2010, the car was unfortunately crashed and was later rebuilt to become the ‘GJ’, which was an F-specification one-off finished in exposed satin carbon fiber, and later, gloss carbon fiber. In 2015, the car was crashed yet again, which resulted in the car we have here in 2016, known as the Zonda Oliver Evolution. The Oliver Evolution was originally finished in Matt silver and was later changed to Matt silver carbon fiber in 2022. The new carbon fiber finish was then complimented by a new Hermès leather interior. Previously, the Oliver Evolution also featured Pagani’s signature tricolore stripes, however, these have since been removed. The Zonda was originally set to be named the ‘Fangio F1’ after Formula One champion Juan Manuel Fangio, but it was later decided the car would be named Zonda after the hot air current above Argentina, where founder of Pagani, Horacio Pagani was born. Founder of Pagani Automobili, Horacio Pagani, gained his reputation as a talented engineer, composites expert and aerodynamicist during his 10 years with Lamborghini between 1982 and 1992. After Pagani created his very own Supercar in 1999, the Zonda C12, just 12 months later a faster, even more enhanced version would be introduced, the Zonda C12 S. The most notable change from the standard C12 to the C12 S was the addition of a AMG-tuned V12 engine that gave a 1023cc gain over it’s predecessor, allowing for a total displacement of 7010cc. In 2002, the 7.3L S variant was revealed, boasting a new larger naturally aspirated engine, and standard traction control and ABS.
