This extremely special car shown here is the 2010 Pagani Zonda Tricolore (ZA9C820C110F76119), an extremely limited, and special variant developed to honor and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian air force aerobatics team, known as the Frecce Tricolori. What originally started as a one-off project, quickly became a total production of 3 examples of the Tricolore, all finished in the same clear blue lacquer exposed carbon fiber, with red, white, and green stripes. While some of the body design characteristics were carried over from the Zonda Cinque, one element which is unique to the Tricolore is the small wing located behind the cockpit, which was built to resemble Frecce Tricolori's Aermacchi MB-339 PAN stunt plane. Other certainly notable features seen on only the Tricolore model are it’s bright-gold 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, and eye-catching green-tinted canopy. The Tricolore features brakes which are carbon-ceramic units from Brembo, and an exhaust system is made of heat-resistant Inconel and lightweight titanium. On the interior of the Tricolore, you’ll find an attractive combination of blue and white leather and an exclusive blue dashboard. With only three examples produced for the entire world, it’s safe to say that this variant of the Pagani Zonda is certainly one of the rarest of them all. The Zonda Tricolore is notably slightly faster than the standard Zonda, with a top speed of around 220mph! Simply put, the Zonda Tricolore is one of the greatest icons to represent the performance car sector, and it truly is one of Pagani’s most distinctive projects every created. Ever since the introduction of the first Pagani Zonda during the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, it’s quickly became one of the most captivating automobiles, especially in comparison to more well-known manufacturers presentations such as Lamborghini and Ferrari at the time.
