2010/2021 Pagani Zonda ‘AY’ Roadster

2010/2021 Pagani Zonda ‘AY’ Roadster

Perhaps one of the most beautiful projects to ever come out of the headquarters in San Cesario sul Panaro, MO, Italy. This car shown here is the one-of-a-kind 2010/2021 Pagani Zonda ‘AY’ Roadster, ZA9C820C110F76096. This very special Pagani example was constructed in 2021 using a brand new carbotitanium chassis and is the very first Pagani to be finished in ‘Viola Iridescent Carbon Fiber’. The car also features exposed black carbon fiber on the bodywork and in the cabin, and the interior consists of black Alcantara with pink leather and white stitching. The ‘AY’ was constructed using vin number 76096 from a decommissioned Zonda F Roadster, however, many new elements have been added on to enhance this example such as a series of carbon fiber fender add-ons, a ‘double wing’ consisting of a regular wing combined with a shark-fin style wing, a unique headlight design, a Zonda R-style front splitter, and much more. The story of the Zonda model begins in the mid to late 1990s, with the first appearance of a Zonda taking place during the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. The Zonda was originally set to be named the ‘Fangio F1’ after Formula One champion Juan Manuel Fangio, but it was later decided the car would be named Zonda after the hot air current above Argentina, where founded of Pagani, Horacio Pagani was born. Every Pagani is unique, but this example finished is certainly a jaw-dropping rendition. Of the approximately 140 total Zonda examples built for the world, there is none other like the AY. Each and every Zonda is built to customer specifications ensuring that no two are alike, but as far as the Zonda AY goes, this chassis goes above and beyond what is normally seen on cars like this one. Between the bespoke headlights, wind and color, with each new revamped Zonda that surfaces, they each get better and better!

How many made? Approximately 140 total Zondas were built, with this car being completely one of a kind.
