2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster

2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster

Pagani Automobili has been producing some of the world’s most luxurious, high-performance & technologically advanced automobiles since the early 90’s starting with the Fangio F1 Prototype, later known as the Zonda. One of the finest and most recent examples from Pagani is the Huayra, which was introduced in 2011 at the headquarters of Pirelli in Milan. The Huayra was planned to be sold in 100 units & was only available as a coupe-only model. After years of anticipation & demand, in 2017 the car pictured here was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the Pagani Huayra Roadster. The exterior of the Roadster is completely revised with the most notable element being the the lightweight removable top. As for this specific example, this is a 2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster (ZA9H12UA8HSF76040) finished in ‘Rosso Dubai’ over a ‘Vermiglio & Medici’ interior and it’s one of only 100 total examples in the world that are planned for production. One of the main goals with the roadster was to make it lighter than the coupe variant & with a total weight of just 2822lbs saves a total of 176lbs in comparison to the coupe. The Huayra Roadster incorporates an engine built by X-Track, which features a hydraulic and electronic activation system combined with new carbon synchronizers that results in extremely precise & responsive shifting. For the Roadster, Pagani worked with Brembo to develop new carbon ceramic (CCM) implants which Pagani claims are ‘the most advanced brake caliper Brembo has ever created’. The Huayra Roadster was announced with a base price of around $2.41 million & as of today have all been sold out. Over the years, the Huayra platform has evolved with multiple iterations, including the Huayra Roadster (100 units), the Huayra BC (20 units), BC Roadster (40 units), Imola (5 units), Huayra R (30 units), Huayra Tricolore (3 units), the Roadster HP (2 units) and the Huayra Codalunga (5 units). All production figures exclude prototypes.
