2020 Pagani Imola Prototype

2020 Pagani Imola Prototype

Over the years, the Huayra platform has evolved with multiple iterations, including the Huayra Roadster (100 units), the Huayra BC (20 units), BC Roadster (40 units), Imola (5 units), Huayra R (30 units), Huayra Tricolore (3 units), rhw Roadster HP (2 units) and the Huayra Codalunga (5 units). All production figures exclude prototypes. As for this special car shown here, it’s the 2020 Pagani Imola Prototype (chassis number ZA9H11RAYYSF76147), and not only is it the most powerful street-legal variant of the Huayra model, but it’s also 1 of only 6 examples that will ever be built worldwide. This Imola was constructed by using Huayra 76014, and is the official Imola prototype. This example is a part of the personal Pagani collection. When this car was a standard Huayra it was reviewed on Top Gear finished silver wearing plate number ‘EK 650VV’. The Imola gets it’s name from the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola Circuit) where the model went under rigorous testing, approximately 16,000km on the track at racing speed. The Imola features an array of active aerodynamics, which is an idea carried over from the Huayra, and a number of weight saving techniques were implemented in order to achieve a lightweight, and extremely powerful end result. By including things such as a carbon fiber blend and lightweight paint application technology, the Imola’s total weight amounts to just 2,747lbs. The Imola features a large roof scoop, a seven-section diffuser, a massive fixed rear wing, and perhaps the most distinctive element, the obvious shark fin towards the rear of the car. The Imola was developed using a Carbo-Titanium HP62 G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 monocoque with front and rear tubular steel subframes. This particular Imola is finished in ‘Matt Silver’ with a brown leather and black Alcantara interior.
