This is a 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster that has been transformed into a custom Strosek Mega Speedster in-period by Bob Anziano’s famed California-based Strosek dealer, Bad Boys Cars, and it’s of just approximately 5 examples that are known to have been constructed for the world. Originally born as a one-year-only 1989 Speedster, this example is a remarkable fusion of Porsche’s rich motorsport legacy and the bold, era-defining design philosophy of German vehicle refiner, Vittorio Strosek Autodesign GmbH. What makes this car so compelling is that it wasn’t modified recently, it was built in period during the 1990s, using authentic parts and styling cues from that golden era of tuning. The entire body has been reimagined in classic Strosek fashion including molded fiberglass fenders and side skirts which flow seamlessly around to the rear, integrating bespoke details like 964 aero mirrors and shaved custom door handles. A Strosek hardtop and signature sloping front fenders elevate the car’s aggressive yet refined look, combining the classic 911 Speedster with elements of the iconic Flachbau design. The interior boasts 964 Speedster bucket seats finished in black leather with painted hardbacks, complementing the 964 Speedster gauge treatment, 964 door cards with upgraded electric windows, and a 964 center console. The car rides on 993 Turbo “Big Red” brakes for ultimate stopping power, while the heart of the car is a 3.6-liter stroked engine built by S-Car-Go Racing, enhancing the original 3.2L motor with more power and torque. The drivetrain is paired with a G50 transmission that has been thoroughly rebuilt, ensuring smooth shifts and ultimate reliability. To finish off the period-correct look, custom 18” x 9” and 18” x 11” OZ Futura wheels are mounted, providing a timeless aesthetic that enhances both style and performance.
