This is the 1 of 25 2005 Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT Matt Edition, VIN number WP0ZZZ98Z5L000183 (built on Carrera GT chassis 0750). This car is of course based on a car many consider to be the best driving road car of all time, the Porsche Carrera GT. For some car collectors, the standard Porsche Carrera GT just wasn’t exclusive or wild enough, so Gemballa (a tuning company based in Germany) developed the Mirage GT in order to curate a more exclusive, more aggressive variant of the Carrera GT. Upon its arrival to the world in 2004, you would’ve probably never imagined that the Carrera GT could become any crazier than it already was. With 603 horsepower coming from one of the best sounding V10 engines of all time and its immaculate design, it was already seemingly perfect. Gemballa, however, decided to challenge Porsche’s engineering by creating the Mirage GT, which is faster, louder, and much more aggressive than the standard car. The main differences that Gemballa added to the Mirage GT in comparison to the standard Carrera GT are a new exhaust system, engine modifications, an improved clutch and suspension, a roof scoop, and a massive rear wing. This specific Gemballa Mirage GT is even a bit more special than the standard. When this car started its life as a standard Carrera GT it was finished in Matte Black with a with a blue interior as seen here. Subsequently, this example has been wrapped silver. The ‘Matt Edition’ Mirage GT is loaded with carbon fiber materials both on the exterior and interior
