This car shown here is an absolutely stunning 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder finished in a beautiful paint-to-sample exterior paint color known as ‘Mexico Blue’ over an Onyx black leather interior with Acid Green accents and piping. This example of the Porsche 918 Spyder is the 488th car produced out of just 918 total examples built for the entire planet (not including prototypes/concepts). The 918 is powered by a 4.6 L (4,593 cc) Porsche MR6 V8 paired with two electric motors that make for a combined 875hp and allow this car to travel from 0-60mph in just about 2.5 seconds with a top speed of close to 220mph. The 918 Spyder model was first ever shown as a concept car during the 80th Geneva Motor Show in March of 2010, and was later followed by a production version which was shown in 2013 at Frankfurt after being designed by German automobile designer, Michael Mauer. The 918 Spyder was constructed upon a carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer monocoque chassis and only approximately 918 total units were produced for the world, with only approximately 300 total delivered to the United States. The Porsche 918 Spyder is reported to have a top speed of around 220mph with a 0-60mph in under 2.5 seconds. This performance allowed for the Porsche 918 Spyder to become the first street-legal series-production sports car to break the 7-second barrier at the legendary Nürburgring circuit. Notably, in September of 2013, a Porsche 918 fitted with the optional ‘Weissach Package’ managed to set a Nürburgring lap time of 6:57, which is still impressive even to this day. This is one of a very limited number of 918 examples to be sold into the United States, as well as 1 of just 4 total 918 Spyder examples to boast this fascinating color.
