An extremely beautiful & rare machine. This is the 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster ‘Heritage Edition’. The 2019 911 Speedster is already an extremely rare variant offered by Porsche with only 1,948 total units built, which honors the Porsche 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster that received its general certification from the Austrian state government of Carinthia on June 8, 1948. The 991 generation Speedster was first ever shown as a concept at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. For the 991 Speedster, Porsche took the Speedster’s signature twin streamliners, and transformed them to become a new modern looking design constructed from a carbon fiber composite. The 991 Speedster utilizes the chassis and mechanics of the GT3 and the body shell of the Carrera 4 Cabriolet, making for one beautiful and well-performing machine. The 991 Speedster is powered by a 4.0L naturally aspirated Flat-6 engine that generates a power output of 493 hp and red-lines at 9,000 rpm. All this power is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and titanium exhaust system which are 9 lbs lighter than the 7-speed manual transmission found on the standard 991 cars. This special edition of the 991 Speedster is the ‘Heritage Edition’ and only a small amount of the 1,948 total units built received this special package. The Heritage Edition honors Porsche’s incredible Motorsport history. The extremely recognizable livery was designed to emulate the brands factory-built 356 racers. Some exclusivities to only the Heritage Edition Speedster include the 20-inch satin platinum wheels, and the two-tone Heritage inspired natural cognac-colored leather interior. Overall the 2019 911 Speedster Heritage Edition is an extremely rare variant of an already rare car, and one of the most beautiful Porsche’s on the road! Thanks as always to @porsche__sam for allowing us to check this one out up close and in person!
