This is the jaw-dropping 2021 Porsche 911 Targa 4S ‘Heritage Design Edition’, finished in a vigorous shade of ‘Cherry Red Metallic’ with a distinctive interior finished with materials such as leather & corduroy fabric. It’s difficult to conceptualize how perfectly executed and well thought out this car is from both a design & technological standpoint unless you witness it for yourself in person. The 992-generation is the internal designation for the eight generation of the Porsche 911, and was introduced for the first time ever at the Porsche Experience Center in November of 2018. The Targa body style for the 992-gen Porsche 911 debuted on the Porsche web-TV channel in May of 2020 & of course differentiates itself from other 992-generation variants by the implementation of a open-top design that is constructed in a way that allows for the cars B-pillars to stay in place. This car however is a special edition of the 992 Targa 4S known as the ‘Heritage Design Edition’ and it’s one of just 992 total examples built for the entire world. The ‘Heritage Design Edition’ can be easily distinguished by it’s retro-themed (1950’s & 1960’s) design styling that includes large circles on the doors with Individually selected numbers, unique Porsche striping, the ‘historical Porsche crest of 1963’ found in numerous locations on the car, such as the headrests, steering wheel, the key pouch, and even the key itself. Other easily applaudable design features include the perforated Alcantara headliner and individually numbered metal badge indicating which car of the 992 total toy are spending time with.
