In order to honor the legacy of one of the most iconic American fashion designers and entrepreneurs, the late Virgil Abloh, Mercedes-Benz developed this unbelievable concept car to his vision, and as a homage to his life and career. This is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Project MAYBACH by Virgil Abloh, a design, and project unlike anything ever seen from the German luxury and commercial vehicle automotive brand ever since they were first established in 1926. Abloh, who lived to become one of the most influential and respected fashion designers in the world during his career, collaborated with chief design officer for Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Gorden Wagener in order to visualize an unprecedented electric show car that was built to inspire the next generation, and push the boundaries for function and styling. The Project MAYBACH is a unique 2-seater, battery-electric off-road coupé with tons of design elements and features geared towards and inspired by exploring the great outdoors. Built entirely from scratch with absolutely no restrictions or production requirements, the Project Maybach is a result of Abloh and the design teams vision of what the future of electric travel might look like one day. Some of the surreal elements featured on this car include a transparent hood cover that reveals solar cells that are designed to increase the range of the Project MAYBACH, skid plates, an exterior roll cage, a tan and black two-tone paint scheme, all-terrain tires, body cladding with exposed rivets over the wheel wells and much more. This captivating machine also features four auxiliary lights which are attached to a bull bar on the front bumper, as well as four additional lights which extend from the roof rack. The futuristic cabin reveals only two seats which can be folded back into beds so you can take in the view from the all-glass roof, a large touchscreen that displays vital driving information, and loads of other futuristic features.
