This is an absolutely menacing 2005 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo (046), which was fitted with the optional Factory Upgraded Competition Package. Only a few examples of the Saleen S7 TT were believed to be equipped with the Competition Package (05-046, 05-049, 06-069, 06-079), this car shown here, finished in Black Metallic over Black Leather interior and red Accents, and three red examples. The press car, finished in ‘Beryllium Orange’, which was featured in the movie ‘Iron Man’ is also sometimes considered a ‘competition package’ Twin Turbo, however, lacks the full cosmetic upgrades. The S7 Competition Package allows for a 100hp power increase from 750hp to 850hp, and the car is powered by a visceral all-aluminum V8 engine with twin Garrett Turbochargers, which is all mated to a 6-speed manual. The Competition Pacakge offers a number of distinct features such as a carbon fiber rear diffuser, a massive carbon fiber wing, which was removed but is included in the sale, and much more! The S7 debuted in 2000 and was originally powered by a naturally aspirated 7.0L Ford Windsor V8. In 2005 the S7 became fitted with Garret twin-turbochargers producing 5.5 psi of boost and gained 200hp to make for a 750hp total which of course came with lots of improvements in performance. In 2006, Saleen offered the ‘competition package’ (shown here), which now allowed the S7 to achieve approximately 850-1000+ horsepower, and delivered some changes to the suspension and bodywork. This car is currently for sale by @catsroy (catsexotics.com), and is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Being the only black S7 Competition in the world, and 1 of only 4 ever made, it’s certainly an interesting machine! Be sure to call 425-787-6200 or e-mail Sales@CatsExotics.com for more details!
