2022 Singer Turbo Study prototype

2022 Singer Turbo Study prototype

This is the 2022 Singer Turbo Study prototype, a one-off left-hand drive creation that was developed following the vision of a client who wanted specific options included in his build such as lightweight carbon fiber bodywork in ‘Wolf Blue’, a 6-speed manual transmission, a 3.8L twin turbocharged, intercooled flat-six, an interior consisting of ‘Malibu Sand’ with ‘Black Forest’ wood accents, and much more all resulting in one of the most unique cars on the road. The Los Angeles-based Singer Vehicle Design company is one that focuses on the modification of Porsche 911 models, and one of their best known products is the ‘re-imagined’ 911, which often features a Porsche 964 as the base, however, with loads of additions such as carbon fiber body panels, a reworked engine, and much more, thus creating a one-of-a-kind project for each customer. What started out as a standard Type 964 Porsche 911 is now the Singer Turbo Study, boldly featuring a new evolution of the ‘Mezger’ air-cooled flat-six engine in 3.8L form. The Singer company was founded in 2009 by singer-guitarist, Rob Dickinson and since that time, they’ve been responsible for some of the world’s most interesting Porsche projects, and the Turbo Study is easily one of the best ones. The bodywork is inspired by the Porsche 930 Turbo of 1975-1989, and there’s really not much leftover from the donor 964 chassis, reportedly almost everything was swapped out aside from the doors. The Turbo study features a number of comfort options such as electrically adjustable and heated sports seats, a new air conditioning system, a smartphone mount, and many other lavish touches. All of the options shown here on this example represent just the ideas of this particular clients car. Singer will go above and beyond at the requests of their customers, and the sky is the limit for just how interesting these cars can get in the future!
